Sculptra: Volume That Builds Gradually, Lasts Longer.

Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra works by stimulating your own collagen production over time — a gradual approach for patients who want a subtle, longer-lasting result.

How It Works

A Collagen Biostimulator, Not a Traditional Filler

Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible substance that stimulates your body to gradually produce its own new collagen over several months, rather than adding immediate volume the way hyaluronic acid fillers do. That means results build slowly — you won't see a dramatic change after one session, but the gradual nature is exactly what makes results look natural.

Because the effect comes from your own collagen rather than an injected volumizing substance, results also tend to last considerably longer than traditional filler — often 2 years or more — though it typically takes a series of treatments spaced weeks apart to reach your full result.

How We Approach It

A Series, Not a Single Visit

Sculptra isn't a one-and-done treatment — we'll plan a realistic series based on your degree of volume loss and goals, and set expectations about the gradual timeline from the start. Patience is part of what makes Sculptra results look so natural.

Physician Insight

"Sculptra rewards patience. It's not the treatment for someone who wants to see a dramatic difference walking out the door — it's for someone who wants a gradual, natural-looking result that lasts years instead of months."

What patients ask most before their first appointment.

Traditional hyaluronic acid fillers add immediate volume directly. Sculptra instead stimulates your own body to gradually produce new collagen over months, which means results build slowly but tend to last significantly longer — often 2 years or more.
Most patients need a series of 2 to 3 treatments spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart to reach their full result, based on their degree of volume loss and goals. We'll build a realistic plan at your consultation.
Gradually — Sculptra doesn't produce an immediate dramatic change like traditional filler. Most patients notice improvement building over 2 to 3 months following each session, as new collagen forms.
